FedEx Honored as Best Logistics Provider for Air Freight Industry at Asian Freight and Supply Chain Awards 2003

City, March 21, 2003 - FedEx Express (FedEx), the world's largest express transportation company, received three major awards at the 17th Asian Freight and Supply Chain Awards 2003, organized by Cargonews Asia at the Fullerton Hotel, Singapore. FedEx was named Best Air Cargo (North America), Best Logistics Service Provider (Air Freight) and Best 3PL.

The awards follow a series of service enhancements by FedEx, including increased capacity from Asia to Europe and a dedicated specialist team providing Supply Chain Solutions to companies throughout Asia.

"We have long led the industry with innovative supply chain solutions that set us apart from our competitors. These awards speak volumes for our success in listening and tailoring our solutions to meet our customers’ needs," said Mr. David L. Cunningham Jr., President of FedEx Asia Pacific. "Our focus will be to continue providing companies in Asia with global, business-to-business supply chain and express transportation solutions particularly with the increased pressure on companies to compete globally."

Mr. Clifton Chua, Managing Director for Singapore and Indonesia and Mr. Sanjay Gandhi, Managing Director, Planning and Engineering Director for South Pacific, accepted the awards on behalf of FedEx. Both are based in Singapore where the award ceremony was held.

The Asian Freight and Supply Chain Awards winners were chosen from nominations by 13,000 senior industry professionals throughout Asia to nominate the best companies in categories denoting industry sector and the four major trading areas in the world, namely Asia, Europe, North America and the Middle East.
