FedEx Further Extends Cut-off Time for Fax-in Customs Clearance Documents for Customers in North and Central Taiwan

Taipei, May 17, 2004 - FedEx Express, the world's largest express transportation company, today announced the extension of the cut-off time for fax-in customs clearance documents for customers in north and central Taiwan to 6:00p.m.,aiming at meeting customers' needs and providing customers with more flexibility and convenience.

The extension of the cut-off time for fax-in customs clearance documents in the Greater Taipei area, further adds on to FedEx's commitment in delivering superior customer service across the areas of north and central Taiwan. Through improving internal operations and efficiency, customers in north and central Taiwan, effective as of today, can fax-in all formal customs clearance documents, including the formal customs clearance check list, commercial invoice, packing list and proof of authorization (POA) by 6:00 p.m. to the FedEx Export Document Department at 886-2-2791-3100 for shipments destined to cities in Asia and Europe.

After faxing in all formal customs clearance documents, customers can call FedEx Taiwan customer toll-free hotline at 0800-075-075 for pick-ups. Customers can rest assured that their packages be loaded onto a same-day flight for time-definite delivery. Additional terms and conditions may apply and customers can obtain more information via the Internet (www.fedex.com/tw), or by dialing FedEx local customer service hotline.
