Regulations on Gemstone Shipments
FedEx is committed to delivering your shipments as quickly as possible. But there are times when shipments may encounter a delay due to missing or incomplete documentation.
We would therefore like to remind customers who export gemstone or gemstone items of the formal export process that they must follow. To ensure the customs clearance process goes as smoothly as possible, please follow the steps listed below.
1. Register for the e-Customs service with the Royal Thai Customs Department at www.customs.go.th. When doing so you should state that that Federal Express (Thailand) Ltd and our main cartage agent, Wavetech Clearance Service Limited, as your brokers.
2. Ensure you provide the following documents with your shipment:
a. A cover sheet (available upon request from FedEx)
b. An air waybill (AWB);
c. A commercial invoice;
d. A packing list (if any); and,
e. A copy of the ID card or passport of the authorized person stated in the Customs Entry form (i.e. the shipper).
3. Prepare THB350 (for each AWB) for the customs clearance processing fee.
