FedEx Express launches new Station close to Suvanabhumi Airport, servicing eastern Bangkok

New station provides customers with convenient and reliable access to the global economy

BANGKOK, June 29, 2005 -- FedEx Express (FedEx), a subsidiary of FedEx Corp. (NYSE: FDX) and the world's largest express transportation company, officially announced the official opening of its World Service Centre and sorting facility in Bangna today, officiated by the Deputy Minister for Commerce, H. E. Suriya Larpwisuthisin. The new facility, which is located approximately ten minutes from the Suvanabhumi International Airport, provides a 500% increase in space from the previous facility allows couriers to leave the building earlier, and deliver packages to customers earlier, resulting in a higher percentage of shipments delivered before noon. The facility includes approximately 41,000 square feet of office and warehouse space, and has the capacity to sort up to 2,000 packages per hour.

"The new Centre dramatically boosts our services to customers in and around Bangkok, and will help facilitate Thailand's continued growth in the global market," said Mr. David J. Ross, Vice President for FedEx Express South Pacific. "FedEx continues to help drive global trade by enabling Thailand's businesses to quickly and reliably source their goods from markets around the world, and to express deliver their shipments across the globe. With strong yearly growth of around 5.5% anticipated for 2006, according to the Government, FedEx is positive about our future growth in Thailand, and the growth of Thai-manufactured goods in the global market."

The station's proximity to the new Suvanabhumi International Airport and easy access to major highways provides a guaranteed delivery and cut-off time commitment, and was opened in direct response to customers' needs, serving the eastern areas of Bangkok, including Pattaya, Chanthaburi and Rayong.

The World Service Centre, which provides a direct access point for customers and direct connections to Asia, Europe and America via FedEx's extensive air networks is open from 8.30am to 5.00pm Mondays to Fridays, and 8.30am to 4.00 pm on Saturdays.

The opening of the new station follows the expansion of FedEx services across Thailand, with new and upgraded Customer Service Centres recently opened in Nana Square, Silom Galleria, Kaosarn Rd, Pattaya, and Chiang Mai, and the launch of a Customs Clearance hotline for customers seeking information about their inbound packages, illustrating FedEx's targeted investments and commitment to Thailand.
