Customers to Enjoy Greater Convenience, Lower Cost, Speed to Market
TAIPEI, Feb. 23, 2005 -FedEx Express (FedEx), a subsidiary of FedEx Corp. (NYSE: FDX) and the world's largest express transportation company, today announced the launch of same-day flight, multiple-locations pick-up service in Taiwan. The service provides customers with a delivery commitment up to 24 hours faster than was previously available.
The enhanced service enables customers to have their shipments picked up from multiple locations, consolidated, and loaded onto FedEx aircraft for departure the same day.
"This new service can benefit Taiwan's many original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) with plants spread across the island, providing more efficient and cost-effective supply chains and faster speed to market," said Scott Williams, managing director of FedEx Taiwan. "This enhancement once again underscores our commitment to Taiwan by providing greater access to the international marketplace for local businesses."
