Week -- Sunday Delivery Begins March 1998 --

MEMPHIS, Tenn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 2, 1997--With more
businesses operating seven days a week and with increasing customer
demand, Federal Express Corp. (NYSE:FDX) today announced a solution
designed to meet this pressing need: a Sunday delivery option.
Beginning March 6, 1998, FedEx Priority Overnight(R) service
will provide delivery by 3 p.m. on Sunday to select zip codes in 50
top U.S. metro areas.
"Customers from the garment district to Silicon Valley have
requested Sunday delivery. This unique service extension enables us
to be where our customers need us, when they need us," said David B.
Shoenfeld, vice-president, FedEx Marketing -- U.S. and Canada.
"FedEx is the only express carrier to dedicate its network of
resources to serving customers on Sunday."
FedEx Sunday deliveries will include the same money-back
guarantees, 24-hour package status tracking and dependable service
FedEx customers have come to expect. "These are the regular
features of our express service," Shoenfeld said.
Customers using Sunday delivery can have packages picked up on
Friday from domestic origins in the 48 contiguous United States and
Alaska, and Saturday from locations which FedEx currently serves on
Saturday. No Sunday pick-up or drop-off will be available.
