Watch this demo for a quick yet detailed overview of the benefits, features and how-tos of the drop box system.

Location

Location

Our more than 43,000 FedEx Express Drop Boxes are conveniently just about wherever you need them: in office buildings, airports, shopping malls, grocery stores and FedEx Office locations.

You can find the drop boxes nearest you by using the Find FedEx Locations tool. Search for location information in one of three ways:

  • ZIP code
  • Address
  • Phone number
Select the "Self-service" box under Show Me These Types of Locations to see a list of drop box locations in your area. Further customize your search results by selecting specific FedEx Express® shipping options you're interested in, such as "Saturday service" or "Package supplies available." Once you've decided on a location, you can access maps with zooming capabilities; satellite imagery; and accurate, easy-to-read driving instructions.

Packaging and Labels

Packaging and Labels

You can use FedEx Express® packaging or use your own packaging with a FedEx shipping label. Our secure FedEx Express Drop Boxes accept most letters and packages up to 20" x 12" x 6". Packages should not be left outside the drop box. Bring packages too large for the drop box compartment to the counter at a staffed FedEx location. Also, do not use drop boxes for FedEx Ground®, FedEx® International Next Flight, FedEx SameDay® and dangerous goods shipments.

Most drop boxes have a top compartment that stores certain types of shipping supplies, including FedEx® envelopes, shipping documents and document pouches.

Drop-Off Times

Drop-Off Times

Drop-off times vary depending on location. A dial on the drop box indicates the scheduled pickup time and whether the pickup has been made for the day. Thousands of drop boxes across the country offer extended drop-off times, and Saturday pickup is also an option at select drop box sites. Go to Find Locations to determine the drop-off deadlines for drop boxes near you.

Payments

It's easy to pay for the FedEx packages you place in our drop boxes. You can enter your FedEx account number or major credit card number on the shipping label either manually or electronically. Keep in mind that you're not required to have a FedEx account to use our drop boxes.
