Typically the day before we deliver your customers’ signature-required or collect-on-delivery packages to their homes, we’ll email, text or call them with an estimate of when their shipment will arrive — even when they’re on the go. If they want to pick up their package at a FedEx location, we can arrange that, too.

Next steps:

  • For notifications to a landline phone, no registration is required. You simply provide that phone number on the shipping label each time using your electronic shipping tool.
  • For notifications to a mobile device or via email, your customers must register their communication preference online. They only register once, but you must provide their mobile phone number on the shipping label each time using your electronic shipping tool.
