|Weather Updates Available Online for FedEx Freight® Shipments
Stay informed if hazardous weather affects your LTL shipments.
Your customers depend on your product for their business, and you depend on FedEx Freight to deliver your LTL (less-than-truckload) shipments on time and intact.
But hazardous weather conditions can sometimes interfere with everyone's schedules and expectations. A hurricane, tornado or powerful storm can cause unavoidable service delays because of impassable areas or unsafe road conditions.1
If inclement weather is a concern, we provide updates on the FedEx Freight home page so you can keep your customers informed. Plus, for immediate notification on your FedEx Freight® Priority shipments, sign up for FedEx Freight Advance Notice®. You'll be notified via email if current weather conditions might delay your shipments.
On the right side of the web page in the News section, you can click on an update to get additional details of the specific area conditions. We'll let you know which areas are experiencing delays or if any FedEx service centers are temporarily shut down.
We also communicate them on these FedEx Freight web pages:
Plus, you can track the status of your shipment online or by contacting FedEx Freight Customer Service at 1.866.393.4585.
When conditions improve, FedEx Freight will do everything possible to deliver your shipment; however, we encourage you to contact the recipient of the delivery for information on the local road conditions. If roads remain temporarily closed or are impassable, your shipment will be held at one of our facilities until redelivery can be safely attempted.
