- When Carrier’s vehicle is delayed by Consignor/Consignee for loading or unloading on or near the premises of Consignor/Consignee, detention charges will begin upon expiration of the applicable free time allowed and will end when the Carrier’s vehicle is loaded or unloaded and is available for movement.
- Free time will begin when Carrier notifies Consignor/Consignee that the Carrier’s vehicle is available for loading or unloading.
- The following detention charges will apply:
- Straight truck charges will be calculated at $51.00 per hour or fraction thereof.
- For vehicle other than straight truck, the charges will be calculated at $61.00 per hour or fraction thereof.
- Free time will be determined as follows:
- When weight per stop is 1 to 10,000 lbs, half (½ ) hour of free time will be allowed.
- When weight per stop exceeds 10,000 lbs, one (1) hour of free time will be allowed.
- Any charges accruing under this item shall be borne by the Payor of the freight charges.
