For the second time in three years, Karen won the Connecticut Straight Truck title. In 22 years as a professional driver, she has never had an accident – amassing more than 1.3 million miles. A contractor for FedEx Ground based in Hartford, Karen says her most rewarding experience as a driver is getting the “thumbs up” from passing vehicles. She and her husband Paul live in Ashford, Conn., and have two daughters, Ashley and Heather. Away from work, Karen enjoys bowling, cooking, crafts and relaxing with her kids.
