Eartha Globe Gets a Facelift with Large Format Printing at FedEx Office
When Eartha, the world's largest revolving and rotating globe, was in need of restoration, FedEx Office stepped in to give this landmark a facelift. Eartha's original panels from 1998 were fading and peeling after years of adoration from visitors far and wide. Kim Stiver, Vice President of Marketing at Delorme, leader in mapping and GPS solutions and Eartha's creator, called on their longtime business partner, FedEx Office for help. With new large format printing technology, using UV inks on corrugated plastic, FedEx Office was able to reproduce the 792 map panels that comprise Eartha. Thanks to FedEx Office, visitors from around the globe will be able to admire this Guinness World Record attraction for years to come.
