Quick Start FedEx OfficeSM Print Online with Adobe®

 

To ensure your copy of Adobe® Reader® includes the Send to FedEx Office feature, please follow the steps provided below.

Please Note:

  • The Send to FedEx Office feature is available exclusively to users who download Adobe Reader from FedEx.com.
  • If your installation of Adobe Reader was not downloaded from FedEx.com - and thus is not equipped with the Send to FedEx Office feature - you must first un-install your current copy of Adobe Reader prior to installing Adobe Reader software downloaded from FedEx.com. See Removing Adobe Reader.
  • Users of Adobe Reader 8.1 and below are not required to uninstall their current software prior to proceeding with the installation steps below.


Downloading Adobe Reader

  1. Go to the Get Adobe Reader page.

  2. Find your operating platform and click the corresponding download link / button.

  3. Click Save within the resulting File Download dialog.

  4. Select a location to save the file.

  5. Wait while file downloads and saves.

  6. Click Run within the resulting Download Complete dialog to initiate installation.

    Note: Some users may encounter a Security Warning dialog when initiating installation. If so, click Run to proceed.


Installing Adobe Reader (Windows)

  1. Run AdbeRdr_en_US.exe (downloaded from FedEx.com)

    Note: Step 6 in Downloading Adobe Reader (above) will run AdbeRdr_en_US.exe.

  2. Wait while installer unpacks.

  3. Wait while Welcome dialog is displayed and Setup begins.

    Important:
    If the Welcome dialog displays the text “Setup will allow you to repair or remove Adobe Reader. To continue, click Next.” a copy of Adobe Reader  is already installed on your system. See Removing Adobe Reader (below).

  4. Click Next within the Destination Folder dialog,

  5. Click Install within the Ready to Install the Program dialog.

  6. Wait while Setup Validates, Copies, and Removes files.

  7. Click Finish within the Setup Complete dialog.


Removing Adobe Reader (Windows)

Prior to installing the Adobe Reader software downloaded from FedEx.com, existing Adobe Reader installations must be removed.

  1. Run AdbeRdr_en_US.exe (downloaded from FedEx.com)

    Note: Step 6 in Downloading Adobe Reader (above) will run AdbeRdr_en_US.exe.

  2. Click Next within the Welcome dialog.

  3. Select Remove within the Program Maintenance dialog and then click Next.

  4. Click Remove in the Remove the Program dialog.

  5. Wait while software is removed.

  6. Click Finish in the Setup Complete dialog.

  7. Proceed with Installing Adobe Reader (above).
