What is the Savings at WorkSM program?

This program makes it easy and convenient for midsize companies to earn an automatic 5% year-end cash rebate on their FedEx® shipping and business purchases. All a company has to do is use a qualifying American Express® Corporate Card* to pay for FedEx Express® and FedEx Ground® shipping services and FedEx OfficeSM office products and document and business services. Midsize companies can enjoy similar cash rebates on additional business expenses through the other program partners, such as Hilton® and Avis®. *Qualifying corporate credit cards include: American Express® Corporate Card, the American Express®/Business ExtrAA® Corporate Card, the Corporate Purchasing Card or any other American Express commercial card.

Is the Savings at WorkSM rebate in addition to other FedEx discounts?

Yes. The 5% annual rebate for eligible clients is on top of any savings your company already receives on FedEx Express®, FedEx Ground® and FedEx OfficeSM services.

However, if your company spends more than $40,000 annually on FedEx Express and FedEx Ground services, either individually or collectively as part of a national account, it is ineligible for the rebate under this program. The period for determining annual spend is September through August. In addition, the FedEx Express and FedEx Ground rebate is capped at $2,000 per company.

Also, if your company is an existing member of the FedEx Office Commercial Account program, it is ineligible for the FedEx Office rebate under this program. The rebate is capped at $2,000 on the first $40,000 your company spends annually on FedEx Office services. The rebate is not valid on purchases where FedEx Office is not the merchant of record.

Does a Cardmember need to enroll in the Savings at WorkSM program?

No. There's no registration or sign-up required, no enrollment fees to pay, no codes to remember, and no minimum quotas to meet. All you have to do is use your qualifying American Express® Corporate Card to pay for FedEx® services.

How do I know I’m earning a rebate?

American Express will provide periodic Savings at Work SM statements that show your FedEx rebate, as well as the rebates earned via other program partners. You should direct any questions regarding your rebate amounts to American Express.

Which FedEx shipping services are eligible for a rebate with the Savings at WorkSM program?

The 5% rebate applies to the FedEx services listed below:

Which services are eligible for a rebate at FedEx Office with the Savings at WorkSM program?

The rebate applies to all products and business services available at FedEx Office Print & Ship CentersSM and online at fedex.com, including copying and printing, signs and banners, office supplies, business and document services, digital photo services, and more.

Will I receive my Savings at WorkSM FedEx Office rebate when I order online?

Yes. The rebate applies to all products and services available online at fedex.com including copying and printing, signs and banners, office supplies, business and document services, digital photo services, and more.

What are cash rebates and how are they paid?

A cash rebate is the company-level savings earned through eligible purchases with Savings at Work SM partners. Rebates accrue annually and are paid once each year in the form of a check. The check is made out to the company and sent to the designated company contact.

How is the rebate tracked and communicated to the company?

Cardmembers should contact their Program Administrator to ensure they are taking advantage of the Savings at WorkSM offers. Program Administrators can track company savings with online reports or with mailed semiannual statements that summarize company savings to date.

Are there any restrictions on the rebate in regard to FedEx Express and FedEx Ground shipping services?

What is the FedEx Program?

The FedEx Program offers additional discounts to American Express® Corporate Cardmembers. The FedEx Program discount is up to 21% on select FedEx Express® U.S. services; up to 15% on select FedEx International Priority® and FedEx International Economy® services; up to 12% on select FedEx Ground® services, including FedEx Home Delivery®; and up to 20% on FedEx OfficeSM products and business services when you enroll in the FedEx Program. To enroll in the FedEx Program, either open a new FedEx account using your American Express Corporate Card or link an existing FedEx account to your American Express Corporate Card. The linked American Express Corporate Card will be charged at the time of purchase.

What are the additional discounts FedEx offers?

Receive an additional 5% discount when you process eligible FedEx Express® shipments using FedEx Ship Manager® at fedex.com or another electronic shipping solution approved by FedEx. Upon enrollment in the FedEx Program, you will receive a FedEx Welcome Kit that includes information about your discounted FedEx rates.

I don’t have a FedEx account. How do I open one?

Opening an account is easy. Just call 1.800.232.4556. Please have your American Express® Corporate Card handy when you call, so your American Express Corporate Card can be linked to the FedEx account. The linked American Express Corporate Card will be charged at the time of purchase.

Can I use my existing FedEx account to access the FedEx Program discount?

Yes. You can enroll your existing FedEx account to get the additional FedEx Program discount. Call 1.800.232.4556 to link your account to your American Express® Corporate Card. The linked American Express Corporate Card will be charged at the time of purchase.

Which FedEx OfficeSM services are discounted with the FedEx Program?

Most FedEx Office products and business services are eligible for FedEx Program discounts, including black & white and color printing and copying services, signs and graphics production, finishing services, and more.

The following FedEx Office services are not eligible for discounts: outsourced products or services, office supplies, notary services, shipping services, inkjet cartridges, videoconferencing services, equipment rental, conference room rental, Sony® Picture Station purchases, gift certificates, specialty papers, custom calendars, holiday promotion greeting cards, or postage. Discounts on custom-bid orders; sale items; orders required to be completed in less than 24 hours; or special offers, promotions or coupons are at the discretion of each FedEx Office location.

Services and hours of operation may vary by FedEx Office location. Discounts shall not apply to any services provided by FedEx Office locations in hotels, convention centers or other nonretail locations. FedEx Office will provide American Express® Corporate Cardmembers with FedEx Office account numbers to identify the Cardmember's participation in this discount program, In order to receive the discount, Cardmembers will pay in full for all services at the point of sale using your American Express Corporate Card at the eligible location.

Is the FedEx Program discount combinable with other special FedEx discounts or offers?

The additional FedEx Program discounts are developed exclusively for American Express® Corporate Cardmembers and cannot be combined with other special FedEx discounts or offers. However, the discount is combinable with the Savings at WorkSM rebate program from American Express.

I'm unsure if I am currently receiving my FedEx Program discounts. How can I check?

Call 1.800.232.4556 to verify your current FedEx Program discounts.

How long does the FedEx discount apply?

As long as you pay for your eligible FedEx® shipments with an American Express® Corporate Card, the FedEx Program discount will be effective until further notice from FedEx via an e-mail notice, posting on fedex.com or other notification, or until the Cardmember cancels enrollment.

Will I receive my FedEx Program discount when I ship online?

Yes. Process shipments online using FedEx Ship Manager® at fedex.com and the FedEx account that is linked to your American Express® Corporate Card and save an additional 5% when you ship eligible FedEx Express® shipments.

Once I have a FedEx account, how do I start shipping and saving?

It's easy. Process your shipments online using FedEx Ship Manager® at fedex.com, then drop them off at a staffed FedEx location. You can also drop off your express shipments at a FedEx Express® Drop Box. Your discounts are automatically applied once your FedEx account is linked to your American Express® Corporate Card. The linked American Express Corporate Card will be charged at the time of purchase. With FedEx Ship Manager at fedex.com, you can process FedEx Express®, FedEx Ground® and FedEx Home Delivery® shipments in just minutes, 24 hours a day, right from your computer.

I’ve never shipped online at fedex.com. What’s the benefit?

By registering online for FedEx Ship Manager® at fedex.com, you can process FedEx Express®, FedEx Ground® and FedEx Home Delivery® shipments in just minutes, 24 hours a day, right from your computer. Plus, by enrolling in the FedEx Program, you can receive an extra 5% off eligible express shipments when you ship at fedex.com. Do I process shipments differently to receive the discounts?

No. You can continue to ship the same way. The discounts will be applied automatically once your FedEx account is linked to your American Express® Corporate Card. The linked American Express Corporate Card will be charged at the time of purchase.

Will all shipments be billed to my American Express Corporate Card automatically, including the ones that are not processed using FedEx Ship Manager at fedex.com?

Yes. All shipments from a FedEx account linked to an American Express® Corporate Card will be billed to the American Express® Corporate Card, and all eligible services will receive the 5% Savings at Work SM rebate from American Express.

What is the difference between the FedEx discount and the FedEx Office discount?

The FedEx discount applies to select FedEx Express® and FedEx Ground® services. The FedEx Office discount applies to all business services available at FedEx Office Print & Ship CentersSM in the U.S.

Where is the FedEx Office discount available?

The discount is available at all FedEx Office locations in the U.S. and through fedex.com, with the exception of office-supply purchases made where FedEx Office is not the merchant of record. Not valid for services provided at FedEx Office Print & Ship CenterSM locations in hotels, convention centers and other nonretail locations.

Where can I find detailed information about my FedEx® shipments once the account is linked and I no longer receive detailed invoices?

Once your FedEx account is linked, your FedEx charges will appear on your American Express® Corporate Card statement to better assist you. You will no longer receive an invoice from FedEx; however, you can review your detailed account information using FedEx® Billing Online. Select View/Pay Bills Online from the Manage tab at fedex.com.

Will I still get an itemized bill from FedEx after linking my account to the American Express® Corporate Card?

No. Once the American Express® Corporate Card is linked to the FedEx account, FedEx shipping invoices will end, and charges will appear only on your American Express® Corporate Card monthly statement.

How will FedEx shipping charges look on the American Express® Corporate Card statement?

The American Express® Corporate Card statement will provide a summary of information that was available on your itemized FedEx invoice. The Card statement data will include:

  • Ship date
  • Tracking number
  • Shipper name
  • Recipient name
  • Origin city, state, ZIP code
  • Destination ZIP code
  • FedEx® service type
  • Number of packages
  • Weight
  • Total cost of shipment
  • Savings at Work SM rebate

Can the American Express® Corporate Card be delinked from my FedEx account?

Yes. The American Express® Corporate Card can be delinked from the FedEx account at any time, and you will begin receiving FedEx invoices again. However if the Card is delinked, the FedEx Program discounts will no longer apply. To delink your American Express Corporate Card from your FedEx account, call 1.800.232.4556.
