Exploring the Options

When you’re shipping or receiving a shipment, and no one will be available to accept it, we now offer more Hold at FedEx Location options.

FedEx Express®:

When a shipment has to be there quickly, you can count on FedEx Express to deliver. In fact, with our Hold at FedEx Location options, express packages and palletized freight are often available for pickup even before the scheduled delivery time at a nearby FedEx Office or FedEx World Service Center®.

Hold at FedEx Location options are also available for certain international shipments. Services include FedEx International Priority®, FedEx International Economy®, FedEx International Priority® Freight and FedEx International Economy® Freight. Call 1.800.GoFedEx 1.800.463.3339 and say international services to confirm pickup date and time. The option is not available for FedEx SameDay® or FedEx First Overnight®.

FedEx Ground®:

When you can trade time for savings, our Hold at FedEx Location options are now available with FedEx Ground shipping. Simply designate delivery to any of more than 1,700 FedEx Office locations nationwide for convenient pickup. FedEx Ground packages will be available within the scheduled delivery time of 1 to 5 business days (Monday–Friday) at most FedEx Office locations.

Hold at FedEx Location options are available at FedEx Office® Print & Ship Center, FedEx World Service Center® or FedEx Office® Ship Center. FedEx Express shipments containing dangerous goods and FedEx Express Priority Freight shipments are not eligible for Hold at FedEx Location options at FedEx Office locations. FedEx Ground C.O.D shipments and shipments containing hazardous materials are not eligible for Hold at FedEx Location options.

Even after a package is en route, you can request to have us hold it at a nearby location for pickup. With many shipments, there’s no need to wait for a delivery attempt. Simply enter the tracking number online or call 1.800.GoFedEx 1.800.463.3339. The option is available with FedEx Express®, FedEx Ground® and FedEx Home Delivery® shipments.
