FedEx offers flexible options to obtain rates for your shipments, depending on your needs.
Get Rates and Transit Times

  • You can get rate quotes, download rate tables, and find rates by service or delivery zone.
  • Under the Ship tab on the fedex.com home page, click on Get Rates & Transit Times. If you have a FedEx account, click on Login at the top of the package information screen to get a customized quote or click Yes when asked if you will be shipping on an account.
  • To use this tool, you’ll need to know origin and destination ZIP codes for your package, your desired ship date, the type of packaging you plan to use, package dimensions and weight, and package value.
  • You can get a quick quote, a detailed quote or find out transit time for your package using different services. Your rate quote will break out applicable surcharges and fees.

FedEx Rate Tools

  • You can view rate tables by FedEx® service or delivery zone. You can also determine delivery zone by ZIP code or find out how to sign up your customers to access FedEx rates directly from your Web site.
  • Under the Ship tab on the fedex.com home page, click on Get Rates & Transit Times, then on the Rate Tools link.
  • If you know the service you wish to use and your package weight, you can find the rate for shipping your package to various zones. If you know the zone you’re shipping to and your package weight, you can find the rate for shipping via different FedEx services.
  • Important: For this tool to function properly, you must disable your computer’s pop-up blocker. To do so, open your Internet browser and turn off the pop-up blocker feature.

Fees and Other Shipping Information

  • Your shipment may incur fees in addition to the standard list rate.
  • Click here for a list of the fees that may apply for U.S. package, international package and express freight shipments (U.S. and international), plus an explanation of each charge and other key shipping information.
  • A delivery area surcharge applies to shipments destined to select U.S. ZIP codes. A list of the ZIP codes where the surcharge applies is available in PDF format or ASCII format. In addition, a delivery area surcharge applies to FedEx Express® shipments destined for areas in Alaska that are remote, sparsely populated or geographically difficult to access. A list of the ZIP codes where the Alaska surcharge applies is available in PDF format or ASCII format.
  • For FedEx Ground® shipments, a surcharge applies for delivery to select rural ZIP codes in Alaska. A list of the ZIP codes where the surcharge applies is available in PDF format and ASCII format. In addition, a surcharge applies for delivery to select rural ZIP codes in Hawaii. A list of the Zone 9 ZIP codes where the surcharge applies is available in PDF format or ASCII format. A list of the Zone 14 (intra-Oahu) ZIP codes where the surcharge applies also is available in PDF format or ASCII format.


Ancillary Clearance Service Fees Assessed on Import Shipments

FedEx Express provides standard customs clearance at no extra charge for import shipments. We also offer a comprehensive range of solutions when your shipment has special clearance needs, or when additional processing is required by a regulatory agency or our customs broker. We assess ancillary clearance service fees for those special services.
