Printer-Friendly Save Time: Submit Trade Documents Electronically

Electronically submit your trade documents and avoid the hassle of manually printing, signing and attaching documentation to your shipments.
Transmitting critical trade information as early as possible in the shipping process helps optimize the customs-clearance process. With FedEx® Electronic Trade Documents, you can upload your Commercial Invoice and other ancillary trade documentation. This solution leads to fast, efficient and streamlined shipment processing, and opportunities for pre-clearance assistance and problem resolution.

FedEx Electronic Trade Documents enables you to:
  • Upload your own international trade documents — either as files or images — created on your own systems in your preferred software format. You can upload documents at the time of shipment or in advance. You can also upload customs documents generated by FedEx.

  • Save time and money by eliminating the need to print and sign up to three copies of each trade document per shipment. This helps you dramatically streamline your document submission time; reduce the risk of lost, missing or damaged documentation; minimize your carbon footprint; and reduce paper and printing costs.

  • Customize your trade documents by adding your company letterhead and signature image.

  • Gain valuable time to resolve any trade documentation issues — such as missing information — before the shipment arrives, providing for continued shipment movement and reducing the risk of caged shipments.
