FedEx SmartPost is the efficient, cost-effective way to ship your low-weight residential packages to customers this holiday season.
The holiday season is a peak time for shipping low-weight packages to customers’ residences. So, if you’re a retailer or “e-tailer,” you need dependable and cost-effective delivery service. And you want peace of mind knowing that your package will reach its destination, no matter where in the U.S. it’s being delivered. What service would best fit your needs? FedEx SmartPost.

Combined efforts 
As a collaborative service that combines the resources of FedEx and the U.S. Postal Service® (USPS), FedEx SmartPost gets your low-weight packages to their U.S. destinations cost-effectively — and with fewer touch points than with regular USPS deliveries.1 Plus, we offer convenient Monday-through-Saturday delivery at no extra cost.

FedEx SmartPost can deliver your package to any residential address, P.O. Box, Army Post Office (APO), Fleet Post Office (FPO) or Diplomatic Post Office (DPO) destination in the U.S., including Alaska, Hawaii and any U.S. territory. In the contiguous U.S., delivery is within 2 to 8 business days, based on the final destination ZIP code. (Transit times may be longer for deliveries made outside of the contiguous U.S.)

Streamlined, efficient service 
FedEx Ground brings your packages directly to a FedEx SmartPost hub for sorting, thus bypassing the multiple touch points within the USPS® system. The package is then shipped directly to the USPS location closest to its point of destination. For the final leg of the journey, the USPS delivers your package to the recipient.

Lower cost, broader reach 
Because we’ve teamed up with the USPS, you save money and you can reach 100 percent of the residential addresses in the country. It’s a no-lose situation.

Plus, via, you can still track the status of your packages from the moment they’re picked up to the time they’re delivered.

Residential delivery options
Besides FedEx SmartPost, other FedEx® solutions can meet retailers’ shipping needs, including:

  • FedEx Express®. For those urgent, time-sensitive packages, choose from several different services to get your package delivered the same day, next business day, or in 2 or 3 business days — even on Saturdays.
  • FedEx Home Delivery®. This FedEx Ground® service delivers to any U.S. residential address, Tuesday through Saturday. Plus, you can customize delivery to meet the needs of your customers with our convenient delivery options, based on program availability.
