Printer-Friendly Gain Time Using Enhanced Shipping Lanes

FedEx Freight has enhanced 5,000 service lanes as of August, enabling you to deliver freight faster and improve your inventory management.
Ongoing FedEx Freight service lane enhancements give you a greater supply of your most valuable asset: time.

FedEx Freight has enhanced 5,000 service lanes as of August 2009, improving service within the continental U.S., Hawaii, Mexico and Canada. We now offer next-day or second-day LTL (less-than-truckload) service to more than 29,000 ZIP codes.

For example, these enhancements improved service from second-day to next-day between Midland, Mich., and points in Illinois, Indiana, Iowa and Wisconsin. Additionally, lanes between Midland and several points across the continental U.S. and points in Hawaii were shortened by a day.

Benefits of lane enhancements include:

  • Shorter freight delivery times.
  • Getting goods to market sooner.
  • Better inventory management.
  • Improved bottom line.
  • Happier customers.
