If you don’t have a BN and RM you can apply for them at the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) website. A Canada BN and RM will enable you to import commercial goods into Canada as the Importer of Record (IOR). Beginning with RLS 2, you’ll be able to apply for a BN and RM number directly through the CARM Client Portal (CCP) business account.
Designate a Business Account Manager (BAM) to create and manage your account. A GCKey or a Sign-in Partner will be required to log in to the CCP. See List of Sign-in Partners. Your company and recent import transaction information will be required to create your account.
The BAM must delegate authority by approving the request that we, Federal Express Canada Corporation, will send to confirm our business relationship. This will authorize us to continue managing your commercial importation activities under CARM.
This information will help ensure FedEx Express can continue to accurately provide customs entry filing, and duty and tax assessment services on your behalf.
FedEx Express will require delegation and a fully completed General Agency Agreement (GAA)/Power of Attorney (POA) package in order to continue managing your commercial importation activities. If you haven’t already done so, sign and return the required completed GAA/POA package to us.
