FedEx Ship Manager® Address Book Import/Export

Help Options


Help Menu

  • Click the Help menu at the top of each page to access the following tools:
  • Help with this page – Includes FAQs, specific instructions and additional information for the sections and processes you see on the screen.
  • Online Technical Support –Gives you the opportunity to Find Answers Online, chat online with a FedEx Technical Support Agent or Submit a Question.
  • Interactive Help Guide –Offers a demo, the ability to practice using our applications, assistance during actual transactions, a printable User Guide and “What’s New” information.

Refer to FedEx Customer Support for ways to contact FedEx via e-mail, mail, or phone.

To Import Addresses


  1. Click the Import/Export tab on the Address Book screen.
  2. Select Import from the Choose Action drop-down menu. Note: If you are a Shipping Administration User, you may have additional options in the drop-down menu:
    • Import to Personal Address Book
    • Import to Central Address Book
    • Export from Personal Address Book
    • Export from Central Address Book
  3. Click Replace Address Book to replace the addresses in the Address Book with imported addresses.
    • You can leave this option unchecked to append the imported addresses to the Address Book.
  4. Click Import File, or Map My File Fields to the FedEx Import Template.
  5. Select to import the addresses as Recipients, Senders, broker or both recipient/sender.
  6. To import the addresses using a template with a comma separated format, click Download a Sample .CSV File.
  7. Click Browse, and choose the appropriate file to import.
  8. Select the file type from the drop-down menu.
  9. Click Import to complete the import process and return to the Addresses screen.

Map My File Fields to the FedEx Import Template

The Map Fields screen displays when you click Import after you have selected Map My File Fields to the FedEx Import Template.
  1. Select a field to map, and click Map to next to the corresponding FedEx field.
  2. To remove a mapped field, click Remove next to the corresponding FedEx field.
  3. When you have completed mapping your fields, click Use this Mapping to complete the import process and return to the Addresses screen.

View Last Import Report

Click View Last Import Report to display the import report of the last import performed.

Export


  1. Select the Import/Export tab on the Address Book screen.
  2. Select Export from the Choose Action drop-down menu. Note: If you are a Shipping Administration User, you may have additional options in the drop-down menu:
    • Import to Personal Address Book
    • Import to Central Address Book
    • Export from Personal Address Book
    • Export from Central Address Book
  3. Select the addresses to export, and save it in a .csv file.
  4. Click Export.
  5. Select or enter the file name with a .csv file type.
