What you need to know to ship lithium batteries?
Required Documents
- Shipper’s Declaration not required.
- The statement “Lithium metal batteries in compliance with Section II of PI969” must be indicated on the FedEx air waybill.
Required Packaging and Labelling
- Strong rigid outer packaging.
- Completed Battery Mark (Figure 1).
- The number of cells in each package must not exceed the appropriate number for the equipment's operation plus two spare sets.
