Bob Henning is executive vice president and chief financial officer for FedEx Ground, headquartered in Moon Township, Pennsylvania.

Henning leads the company’s financial operations and analysis and is responsible for execution of the company’s strategic financial plan.

He joined Federal Express as an attorney in 1979 and held various management positons in the Legal and Regulatory Affairs department. In 1993, he moved to the Treasury department and in 1998, was elected Vice President and Treasurer of FedEx Corporation’s largest operating subsidiary, FedEx Express.

In 2000, Henning moved to FedEx Corp. as staff vice president of corporate development, establishing that department and leading its development. He played a principal role in the company’s successful acquisitions of, among other firms, American Freightways, Kinko’s, DTW Group (China), ANC Holdings (U.K.), GENCO, and TNT. Under his leadership, FedEx developed its best-in-class ACQUIRE merger integration process. In 2010, Henning assumed the additional responsibility of leading the company’s global planning and strategic financial analysis functions.

Henning was elected to his current position in 2017, in which he leads transformational programs to modernize the FedEx Ground’s technological, operational, commercial, and financial processes.

Henning earned his bachelor’s degree from Vanderbilt University and his J.D. from the University of Memphis. He has been awarded the prestigious FedEx Five Star Award on four occasions.

Henning resides in Sewickley, Pennsylvania, with his wife, Denise.
