Address Book Groups
Use the Address Book Groups screen to ship to a specific group, to edit the members of the group, or to delete, duplicate, or export a group. Selecting a group from your Address Book eliminates the task of manually entering the group information each time you ship to them.
  • To display specific groups, complete a search, sort the entries, or move through the list, review Address Book Tips.
  • To ship to a group, add, modify or delete a group, or import or export Address Books, see Using Your Address Book.

Address Book Group Tips

For tips on displaying specific groups in your Address Book, or moving through the list, review the following steps. Display the Groups section by clicking on Groups in the secondary navigation bar.
  1. To search for a specific group, use the Search by keyword option. This option allows you to search based on the group name, Recipient ID, or description. Type the keyword and select the search field from the drop-down menu. Click Search. Your selection is highlighted in the list.
  2. To sort your list of groups by column, select the sort criteria from the drop-down menu and click Sort. The list sorts according to your new criteria. Alternatively, you may sort your groups by clicking the column headings.
  3. To display all or specific groups in your Address Book, select one of the following options located above the list of entries:
    • To show all the groups, click All.
    • To show only the groups for a specific letter, click the letter.
    • To move through the list, click the directional arrows displayed below the list.

Using Address Book Groups

Use the Address Book Groups screen to ship to a specific group, create a new group, edit the members of the group, or to delete, duplicate, or export a group.
  1. To ship to a group in your Address Book, select the group by clicking the box to the left of the group name. Click Ship. The Ship screen appears with your group's name, address, and default shipping information automatically entered. For details on shipping, see Shipping a package.
  2. To create a new group entry, click Create new group. Type the group information. For details, see Creating a New Group and Adding Members to a Group.
  3. To edit a group, select the group to edit by clicking the box to the left of the name. Click Edit or click the hyperlinked group name. You can change the name of a group, or add or remove members of the group. For details, see Editing a Group.
  4. To duplicate a group, select the group by clicking the box to the left of the group name and click Duplicate. A new group is created with the same shipping information. Make the necessary changes.
  5. To delete a group, select the group(s) by clicking the box to the left of the name and click Delete. Confirm your choice, and click OK.

Creating a New Group

To create a new group, complete the following steps:
  1. In the Group Name field, type the name for this group.
  2. In the Recipient ID field, type a code to associate with this group. This code appears in the Recipient ID field of any Ship screen.
  3. In the Description field, type a description for this group.
  4. To cancel these changes at any time, click Cancel.
  5. To save this group, click Save/Update. This new group will now be listed with your Group Address Book entries.

Adding Members to a Group

To create a group with members, complete the following steps:
  1. Complete the following fields on the Create group screen:
    • Group Name. Type the name for this group.
    • Recipient ID. Type a code to associate with this group. This code appears in the Recipient ID field of any Ship screen.
    • Description. Type a description for this group.
    • To save these changes and proceed to the screen to add group members, click Save/Update.
  2. To add members to this group:
    • Display the members you want to add in the Select members to add list. Use the search option to search for a particular member, or select a letter of the alphabet to display a list of members whose names begin with that letter, or scroll through the list.
    • From the Select members to add list, select a member to add to this group by clicking on the box to the left of the name.
    • Click Add to add this member to the group. The new member appears in the right side of the Members added to group list.
  3. To remove a member from a group:
    • From the Members added to group list, select a member by clicking on the box to the left of the name.
    • Click Remove to remove that member.
  4. To cancel these changes, click Cancel.
  5. To save these changes, click Save/Update.

Editing a Group

When you edit a group, you can change the group name and Recipient ID, or add or remove group members. Complete the following steps:
  1. Change the following fields as applicable:
    • Group Name. Type the name for this group.
    • Recipient ID. Type a code to associate with this group. This code appears in the Recipient ID field of any Ship screen.
    • Description. Type a description for this group.
  2. To add members to a group:
    • Display the members you want to add to in the Select members to add list. Use the search option to search for a particular member, or select a letter of the alphabet to display a list of members whose names begin with that letter, or scroll through the list.
    • From the Select members to add list, select a member by clicking on the box to the left of the name.
    • Click Add to add this member to the group. The new member now appears in the Members added to group list.
  3. To remove a member from a group:
    • From the Members added to group list, select a member by clicking on the box to the left of the name.
    • Click Remove to remove the member from the group.
  4. To cancel these changes, click Cancel.
  5. To save these changes, click Save/Update.
