Address Book - Managing Your Sender Profiles
You can use the Sender profiles feature to create, store, and access up to 20 different sender name and address combinations within a FedEx Ship Manager account. Sender profiles are a convenient way to accomplish any of the following using one FedEx Ship Manager account and login:
  • Maintain multiple shipping addresses for one individual
  • Create shipments showing others as the sender
  • Enable multiple users for the account

Changing the Sender Address

Each time you log into FedEx Ship Manager, your sender information will be set to your main shipping profile. This profile can be viewed and edited from the Preferences screen.
To change your sender address, click the Change sender address button on the main ship screen. Then select the sender address you want to use from the popup window that displays. The change of sender address will remain in effect until you change it again or log off.

Add, Update, or Delete a Sender Address

You can add new sender addresses or update existing sender addresses, and the new or changed address will be available for immediate use. You can also delete an existing sender address if it is no longer needed, or if you have reached your 20-record storage limit and want to add a new sender address.
Most sender profile maintenance functions are performed within the Address Book feature.
  1. Click the Address Book tab at the top of any screen.
  2. In the secondary navigation bar on the Address Book screen, click Sender information.
  3. On the Sender information screen, you can perform any of the following tasks:
    • Select an existing address, and then click Edit to change it.
    • Create a new address by selecting an existing address, clicking Duplicate, and making any needed changes to the copy.
    • Delete an address by selecting it and clicking Delete.
    • Verify the accuracy of an address by selecting it and clicking Validate address (U.S. destinations only).
    • Export addresses to a .csv file using the procedure described below.
    • Click Create new sender to create a new sender address.

Import or Export a Sender Profile

Sender profiles can be imported or exported much the same as address book recipients can be imported or exported. Most sender features are managed within the Address Book.

Import Profiles

Follow these steps to import sender information into your Sender Profiles:
  1. Click the Address Book tab at the top of any screen.
  2. In the secondary navigation bar on the Address Book screen, click Import. The Import address/sender profiles screen displays.
  3. Click the Sender information radio button to indicate that you want to import to sender information.
  4. Provide the name of the file to import, including its location on your computer. Click the Browse button, if necessary, to locate the correct file.
  5. Select the file type from the pull-down list. It is important that you specify the correct import file type so the imported information will be placed in the proper fields in the sender profile records. Selecting the incorrect file type can result in the imported addresses being unusable.
  6. Make sure the Import option is set to Add to address book/sender information
  7. Click Import to start the import process. Note: If you attempt to import more sender addresses than allowed (more than 20), the additional import records will not be imported.
Note: You can import incomplete sender addresses into your sender profiles. However, before using an incomplete address to create a shipment, you will have to edit it to make sure that information is supplies for all the required fields.

Export Profiles

Follow these steps to export sender information from your Sender Profiles:
  1. Click the Address Book tab at the top of any screen.
  2. In the secondary navigation bar on the Address Book screen, click Sender information. The Sender information screen displays.
  3. If you want to export all of your sender addresses, don't check any of the checkboxes in the left-hand column of the sender address table. If you want to export only selected sender addresses from the table, click the checkbox to the left of each address you want to export.
  4. Click Export, and then indicate the location on your system where you want the export file to be saved. You can change the name of the exported file, or accept the default name for the file. Exported addresses are save in a comma-separated value (.csv) format.
  5. A confirmation screen indicates that the export process was successful.
