How do I request for my shipment to be held at a FedEx Location?

Locate To request a Hold at FedEx location, locate your shipment by entering the tracking number into the search field. Tap on your shipment to see the Tracking Summary screen. Select “Hold at FedEx location” from the options listed below your shipment information.

  • This service is only available for FedEx Express®, FedEx Ground® and FedEx Home Delivery® inbound U.S. and intra-U.S. shipments.
  • Shipments can only be released to the named recipient or recipient representative with a government-issued photo ID that matches the original shipment name and address.
  • Shipments are held for five business days and then returned to the shipper if not picked up by the named recipient or recipient representative with proper identification.
  • Location options for FedEx Express, FedEx Ground and FedEx Home Delivery shipments must be in the delivery area of the FedEx Express or FedEx Ground station.
