How do I schedule a vacation hold?


To set a vacation hold, locate your shipment by entering your tracking number in the search field or simply select a shipment from your shipment list to see the Tracking summary screen. Select Schedule Vacation Hold from the options listed below your shipment information. Using the calendar, select your start and end date.

FedEx will hold your packages for up to 14 days. You must wait six days after service resumes before you can request a new vacation hold.
Please note:
  • This option will take effect on the following operating day and will not affect deliveries scheduled for the day the change was submitted.
  • Only one vacation hold is effective per residential address during a 14-day period.
  • This option applies to all deliveries to this residential address regardless of the recipient name associated with the package. The latest Vacation Hold saved, updated or turned off will apply.
  • All residents of the address that have signed up for FedEx Delivery Manager® will be notified of any changes made to the Vacation Hold.

You must be logged in to the FedEx app and enrolled in FedEx Delivery Manager to request a vacation hold.
