Overview
After successfully printing their FedEx® E-mail/Online Label(s) and appropriately affixing the label to their shipment, the user must now select the most appropriate method of tendering their shipment to FedEx (fig 21).

Note: Specific information regarding the various considerations that should be accounted for when selecting the most appropriate method of tendering a shipment to FedEx can be found within Section 1 - Introduction - Time Limits, Lead Time, and Scheduling in E-mail/Online Label Quick Help.

Options

Two primary options for tendering packages to FedEx are available via FedEx E-mail/Online Label: Will drop off at FedEx location and Will use scheduled pickup at my location.

Users selecting "Will drop off at FedEx location" may click the "Dropoff Locations" button to utilize the FedEx Dropoff Locator application (fig 22). When the user has determined the best dropoff location, the user may click the "Done" button on the "Select a Dropoff / Pickup Option" screen to Log Out of the E-mail/Online Label application.

Users selecting "Will use scheduled pickup at my location" should ensure that their shipment is ready for pickup with shipping label affixed correctly. The E-mail/Online Label shipment should be tendered to FedEx along with the users other packages for the day. The user may click the "Done" button on the "Select a Dropoff / Pickup Option" screen to Log Out of the E-mail/Online Label application.

Additionally, a third option is available to FedEx E-mail/Online Label users at the discretion of the recipient: "Will contact FedEx to schedule a pickup". Users may click the "Schedule Pickup" button to launch the "FedEx Schedule a Pickup" application (fig 23 and fig 24).

Once the user has completed providing the required information to the FedEx Schedule a Pickup application, they must click the "Confirm" button within the Pickup application.

The resulting Pickup Confirmation screen will provide the user with a Pickup Confirmation Number. This confirmation number will be required if it becomes necessary to follow-up with FedEx regarding the status of the scheduled Pickup or if the user wishes to Cancel the Pickup (from within the Email/Online Application or by directly contacting FedEx.)

Once the user has completed the Schedule a Pickup process, they may click the "Done" button on the "Select a Dropoff / Pickup Option" screen to Log Out of the Email/Online Label application.

Note: All packages must be ready 1 hour prior to your company's closing time. The latest time that FedEx can accept a package for same-day pickup/departure varies according to your location and the destination of your package. If you are unsure of your local pickup/cutoff times or the delivery commitment for your package, contact your local FedEx Customer Service representative or call 1.800.Go.FedEx (800.463.3339) for more information. You may only schedule FedEx Express pickups on the actual ship day and FedEx Ground pickups for the next business day. Only one pickup request per day, per customer, is needed.

Please refer to Section 1 - Introduction - Time Limits, Lead Times, and Scheduling within Quick Help for additional information regarding Scheduling a Pickup.
