Terms and Conditions

By participating in this Contest, you will be deemed to accept these Terms and Conditions and the FedEx Privacy Statement.


  1. Eligibility
    1. To qualify for entry into the Contest, at the time of participation participants must be: (i) 18 years old or older and (ii) residents and/or domiciled in Hong Kong.
    2. Eligibility excludes the directors, managers and employees (and their immediate families) of FedEx, its related entities, printers, suppliers, providers and agencies associated with the promotion stated herein as well as employees, agents, officers and representatives of any government department, government-owned entity, juristic person funded by any government department, political party or public international organization, or any candidates for political office.
  2. Prizes
    1. Grand prize – 1 (one) winner
      • 2 (two) Category 1 tickets to the UEFA Europa League Final on 16 May 2018 in Lyon, France
      • 2 (two) business class return air travel tickets from Hong Kong to Lyon, France
      • 2 (two) nights’ accommodation for two people (including breakfast) at the Mob Hotel, Lyon from 15 – 17 May 2018

        Please note:
        - FedEx will communicate the address of the hotel to the Grand-prize winner. Accommodation will be one twin bedroom.
        - It is the responsibility of the Grand-prize winner and his/her guest to make their own travel and transport arrangements from the destination airport to the designated hotel and vice versa in Lyon.
        - It is the responsibility of the Grand-prize winner and his/her guest to ensure they meet with all travel requirements, including but not limited to passport, visa and insurance.
        - For the avoidance of doubt, travel insurance; tips, additional food/drinks; hotel extras such as mini bar, telephone calls, beverages and movies; and, other personal expenses are not included in the Grand prize.
        - The prizes are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash or the cash equivalent or for any other alternative in any circumstances.
        - Costs of any domestic transportation/accommodation in Hong Kong, insurance, fuel surcharges, travel paperwork costs, airport fees and taxes (in Hong Kong and overseas) are to be paid by the Grand-prize winner.
        - No liability can be attributed to FedEx in the event of improper use by the participant of the aforementioned prizes or use by people who are unsuitable due to age or physical/mental conditions.
        - In the event of problems with the product such as faults or malfunctioning of the prizes themselves, all guarantees and relative limitations in reference to the guarantees attributable to the supplier apply.

  3. Entries
    1. Only the first successful entry will qualify. Multiple or duplicate entries that follow from the same participant will be disqualified.
    2. Each participant can win one prize only.
    3. Entries with the correct answers to the three questions will be entered into the lucky draw.
    4. The lucky draw will be conducted electronically on FedEx premises.
    5. FedEx accepts no responsibility for any late, lost or misdirected entries including delays in the delivery of the entry due to technical disruptions, network congestion or for any other reason.
    6. All entries must be submitted between 12:00 local time on 12 Mar 2018 and 23:59 local time on 6 April 2018.
    7. Participants are responsible for the accuracy and completeness of the information provided during registration.
    8. FedEx will not be in any way liable for any incorrect and/or untruthful information provided by participants.
    9. FedEx reserves the right to verify the truthfulness of any information provided, which may include requiring a proof of identification and eligibility.
    10. Non Eligible Participants or those who fail to send the requested information or send the requested documentation late, incomplete, falsified, tampered with or not in compliance with what is specified in these Terms and Conditions, will automatically be excluded from the Contest and will not qualify for any prize.
    11. FedEx reserves the right to exclude any participant in breach of the rules in these Terms and Conditions. FedEx will not be liable for any incomplete, illegible and/or falsified documentation sent by participants.
  4. Awarding prizes
    1. In the event that one of the following conditions should occur to the winner, a reserve winner will be drawn and allocated the prize.
      • Unavailability of the winner;
      • Failure to receive the requested documents to prove compliance with the eligibility criteria;
      • Receipt of documentation, which is non-compliant and/or sent after the deadline;
      • Lack of confirmation following the checks conducted on the information entered by the participant;
      • Untruthful information provided by the winner; or,
      • Failure to comply with these Terms and Conditions.
    2. The draw will take place on or before 12 April 2018 to determine the winners.
  5. Notification to winners
    1. The Grand-prize winner will be notified by email or telephone as provided in the registration. Prizes will be delivered to the consolation prize winners.
    2. The result of the lucky draw will be announced in Ming Pao and South China Morning Post on 16 April 2018.
    3. In order to validate the win, the Grand-prize winner must send a copy of his/her identification document (front and back and not expired) within three days of receipt of the notification email to the address or email address specified in in the notification email.
    4. Once the accuracy of the information provided by the Grand-prize winner has been verified, the prize will be confirmed and instructions for receiving it will be sent by email.
    5. FedEx will not be liable in the event one of the following should occur:
      • The Grand-prize winner mailbox is full or the winner or reserve’s mailbox has been deactivated;
      • The email address provided by the participant is non-existent, incorrect or incomplete;
      • Incorrect and/or inaccurate information provided by any participant including without limitation telephone numbers, email addresses, street addresses or personal information; or,
      • Delay or failure of any postal operator or of the Internet, computer or any Internet service provider.
    6. All participants are solely responsible for managing his or her email inbox including but not limited to:
      • Checking their email and complying with the instructions for redeeming the prize; and,
      • Taking the necessary security measures to prevent anyone else from having unauthorized access to his or her email account.
  6. General Terms and Conditions
    1. FedEx takes no responsibility for participants’ entries that are incomplete due to reasons outside its control.
    2. FedEx shall not be liable for any loss, injury, claim, liability or damage of any kind resulting in any way from the attendance or non-attendance of the winners to the UEFA Europa League match.
    3. FedEx shall not be liable for any cancellation or postponement of the UEFA Europa League match.
    4. FedEx will bear the cost of the shipping fees to deliver the consolation prizes.
    5. The prizes stated herein cannot be exchanged for cash, cash-equivalents or any other gifts, goods or service of value.
    6. FedEx shall not be liable for any loss or damage (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss) which is suffered by a participant or other parties in connection with this Contest, including but not limited to personal injury and tax obligations that may arise from accepting any of the prizes, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law.
    7. By entering this Contest, unless otherwise advised by the participant, each participant consents to the information they submit being entered into a database, which may be used by FedEx in any media for future promotional and publicity purposes.
    8. FedEx reserves the right to require the winner(s) to execute a certificate of eligibility prior to awarding the winner(s) with the prize, confirming that the winner is not excluded from entry into this Campaign pursuant to these Terms and Conditions and that the winner(s) has complied fully with these Terms and Conditions. Truthful completion of this certificate is a precondition to the award of the rewards.
    9. In the event of any discrepancies with respect to this Contest, the FedEx decision is final and no other further correspondence will be accepted.
    10. FedEx will not be obliged to award the prizes if it is contrary to any applicable laws or regulations.
    11. This promotion is in no way sponsored or administered by, or associated with UEFA.
    12. In the event of any dispute, the decision of FedEx shall be final.
