1FedEx Express international shipments delivered to or picked up from remote and less-accessible locations are assessed an out-of-delivery-area or out-of-pickup-area surcharge. A list of postal codes and cities where these surcharges apply is available in PDF format. The applicable surcharge is listed in the table above under “Special Handling Charges.”

Important Information
Account BenefitsFedEx offers qualified businesses the convenience of charging all inbound and outbound shipping, customs duties, taxes and related fees on one account number. With a valid FedEx account, no cash is needed at the time of shipping or receiving packages.
Address Correction
If the recipient's address is found to be incomplete or incorrect (e.g. incorrect postal codes, omitted apartment numbers or former street addresses for recipients who have relocated), or if a valid telephone number for the recipient is not provided on the air waybill, a special handling fee of US$7.50 per address correction will be assessed.
Declared Value for Carriage
The Declared Value for Carriage fee is US$0.65 per US$100.00 in declared value, with the first US$100.00 or US$20.00 per kg (whichever is greater) free. The maximum Declared Value for Carriage varies by country and type of service , but shall not exceed US$50,000.00 per shipment (US$100,000.00 for FedEx International Priority Freight shipments), For Items of Extraordinary Value, there is a limit of US$500.00 or less, depending upon destination country. The Declared Value for Carriage may not exceed the Declared Value for Customs. Call FedEx for more information.
Declared Value for Letters and Paks
FedEx Letter maximum declared value is US$100.00 and up to 1/2 kilo, or 30 unfolded pages. FedEx Pak maximum declared value is US$100.00 and up to 1 kg. Over 1 kg use FedEx International Priority rates.
Dimensional Weight
Dimensional weight is calculated by multiplying the length by width by height of each package and dividing the total by 5,000 if the volume is in centimeters, or by 0.005 if the volume is in meters (the fractions of half a kilo are rounded off to the following half kilo).

Duties & Taxes
To ensure the fastest delivery possible, FedEx prepays the assessed customs duty and taxes for your express shipments. You may pay this in cash at the time of delivery, or if you prefer the convenience of charging them to your FedEx account, a fee of US$5.00 or 2% of the duties advanced will be billed to you.
Fuel Surcharge
All shipments are subject to an adjustable fuel surcharge. The surcharge percentage will be subject to adjustment monthly using a rounded average of the U.S. Gulf Coast (USGC) spot price for a gallon of kerosene-type jet fuel, as published monthly by the U.S. Department of Energy.
Changes to the FedEx Express fuel surcharge will be applied effective the first Monday of each month. The surcharge percentage will be reflected on your FedEx invoice. The percentage for each month will be available at fedex.com approximately two weeks before the surcharge is applicable.
Limits of Liability
The maximum liability for loss, damage or delay or any claim with regard to any shipment is limited to US$100 or US$20.00 per kg (whichever is greater), unless the shipper declares a greater value for carriage and pays an additional fee.
Payment Terms
Invoices for transportation charges are payable within 30 days of the invoice date. Invoices for duties and taxes are payable upon receipt.
