You can use Track to check the status of your shipment at anytime during and after delivery. With just a few clicks, you can check the status of up to 30 FedEx Express® (including Express Freight), FedEx Ground®, FedEx Freight®, FedEx Custom Critical® shipments, or FedEx Kinko’s orders at a time.

What Do I Need to Know?

Here are some helpful tips:

Track by tracking number - You can enter up to 30 tracking numbers at a time. You can enter any combination of FedEx Express, Express Freight, FedEx Ground, FedEx Freight, or FedEx Custom Critical tracking numbers. Please ensure that you enter only one tracking number per line.

Track by door tag number - Door tag numbers start with the letters "DT" followed by twelve numbers. If entering more than one door tag number, click on the underlined tracking number to get more details. You can enter any combination of up to 30 door tag tracking numbers at a time. Please ensure that you enter only one door tag or tracking number per line.

Track by FedEx Kinko's order number - You can enter up to 30 FedEx Kinko's order numbers at a time. Please ensure that you enter only one FedEx Kinko's order number per line.

Summary Results - The summary results screen shows date/time, status, destination, and FedEx service shipments and order number, order status, date/time, shipment tracking number and service for FedEx Kinko's orders.

For FedEx shipment details, click on the underlined tracking number and for FedEx Kinko's order details, click on the underlined order number.

From this screen, you can also view or e-mail Signature Proof of Delivery letters for all delivered FedEx Express® and FedEx Ground® shipments you select. To e-mail, click on the “E-mail signature proof results” button. You will be able to preview the Signature Proof of Delivery PDF file, enter up to four recipients’ e-mail addresses, add a personal message (optional), and then submit your request. Your e-mail request will be sent immediately to the recipients you requested. The recipients will receive an e-mail from FedEx on your behalf with the Signature Proof of Delivery letters combine in one PDF file attachment.

Sorting Summary Results - To sort results, click on the triangle in the column header. Clicking on the triangle again will resort in the opposite order.

Detailed Tracking Results - Information included with detailed results:
  • Date/Time: Reflects the local date and time
  • Activity: Displays activity of the shipment or FedEx Kinko's order
  • Location: The city and state of the activity
  • Details: Provides additional information about the shipment or FedEx Kinko's order

Pull-down menu - If entering multiple tracking numbers, the drop-down menu above the detailed results allows you to navigate to tracking numbers without returning to the summary page. You can also click Previous or Next to go to the next tracking number.

Availability of Tracking Information - Tracking information is available for 90 days after delivery for FedEx Express, FedEx Express Freight, FedEx Ground, and FedEx Custom Critical. FedEx Freight shipments are available for two years after delivery.

Alternate Reference Track - You can track your shipments using reference numbers assigned to a shipment. You can either track with or without an account number.
  • With Account Number - You can enter up to 30 reference numbers and the associated account number. All shipments associated with the account number and reference(s) will be displayed.
  • Without an Account Number - You can enter up to 30 reference numbers. Please enter ship date (+/- 15 days), destination country, and destination postal code. Not all countries support postal codes. Please select destination country first to determine the postal code requirement.

    Note: Only unique matches will be displayed when tracking by reference without an account number. If multiple results are found for the same reference number, you must select a FedEx service before clicking Resubmit all. If a unique match cannot be found, you will be prompted to enter the account number.

Signature Proof of Delivery
- You can use Signature Proof of Delivery to obtain a signature of the person who signed for your shipment. Signature Proof of Delivery is available for FedEx Express and FedEx Ground shipments delivered in the US, Canada, and Puerto Rico. You can view this letter online, print it out, e-mail it or fax it.

Update Messages:
  • Exception Updates - An automatic message that provides an update to someone when an exception to a shipment has been identified. The message includes the tracking number, ship (p/u) date, the reason and needed action associated with the exception, and other relevant information.
  • Delivery Updates - An automatic message that provides an update to someone when a package has been delivered. The message includes the tracking number, sender name, delivery date/time, and the name of the person who signed for the package.
  • To Send an Update -
    • Enter your email address and your name in the appropriate boxes.
    • Check the Exception updates box, and/or the Delivery updates box.
    • Enter the email ID(s) of the individuals you want to receive the updates. Sample email ID: yourname@coname.com
    • Select the language in which you want the updates delivered.
    • Select the format in which you wish the updates (HTML, Text, or Wireless). This will be defaulted to HTML.
    • If you wish, a personal message can be added to all selected updates. Due to space constraints, a personal message cannot be sent if the message is sent in wireless format. Personal messages can only be supported in English characters at this time.
    • Select the box indicating that you agree to the fedex.com Terms and Conditions and click on "Submit".
