Forklift Drivers

As Forklift Driver, your main responsibilities are to:

1. Responsibilities:

  • Report to Venue Delivery and Warehouse Manager (on-site report);
  • Loading and offloading operations or manual handling equipment, which will occur mainly at the Venue LOG Compound as well as in designated offloading / loading areas of the Venue;
  • Perform specific handling or installation tasks within and outside the Venue as requested by UEFA, using the available forklifts and all other logistics equipment on site.

2. Required experience and skills:

  • Minimum of 1-year experience working in a logistics environment;
  • Basic understanding of English and ideally the main language of the country in which the Venue is located;
  • Possess a valid driving license for vehicles weighing up to 3.5 tons;
  • Possesses or willing to undergo a training to possess a Forklift Driver certificate valid in the country in which the Venue is located, for forklifts with 3 tons loading capacity, as well as 5 tons loading capacity forklifts;
  • Have no criminal record (UEFA accreditation requirement) and no active warning letters on HR record - background checks will be conducted.

3. Required personal qualities:

  • A passion for football (preferably);
  • Team-player, ability to build and maintain good working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders;
  • A positive, can-do attitude;
  • Able to work on, and prioritize multiple tasks;
  • Able to work well under pressure and remain calm;
  • Good problem-solving skills with the ability to react quickly to situations;
  • Able to work independently;
  • Used to carrying boxes (e.g. 20kg);
  • Possess a valid identification document.

4. Geographical requirements:

  • The working location is the football stadium. Other than the ones mentioned in your current contract, no extra travel costs will be reimbursed.

5. General requirements

All applicants should meet the following requirements:

  • Possesses a valid work permit and visa for the country in which the site is located at which the Team Member will perform services for UEFA;
  • Complies with any and all rules, regulations, directions and restrictions applicable at the site at which the Team Member will perform services for UEFA;
  • Holds a valid driving license for the country in which the Site is located at which the Team Member will perform services for UEFA;
  • Is duly authorized and insured by the Company to drive vehicles provided by UEFA, including vehicles of up to 3.5 tons. The Company shall provide to UEFA a copy of everyone’s driving license as proof;
  • Meets the specifications relevant to that Team Member as set out in this document;
  • Complies with all directions and instructions of UEFA in the performance of his or her role;
  • No or minimal vacation booked, employees available throughout the assignment period;
  • Agrees to respect and fully comply with all applicable local health and safety requirements & COVID-19 guidelines as instructed.

Working hours

The working operational hours of the Venue Warehouse and Delivery Team can be scheduled from 7:00 to 18:00 every non-match day including weekends, and can be split in different shifts (subject to applicable laws), may be extended by UEFA as follows:

  • 07:00 to 22.00 on match days where the match starts at 18:00 and;
  • 07:00 to 01.00 (day +1) on match days where the match starts at 21:00.
