What you need to know to ship lithium batteries?
Required Documents
- Shipper's Declaration not required.
- The statements “Lithium ion batteries in compliance with Section II of PI966” must be indicated on the FedEx air waybill.
Required Packaging and Labelling
- Strong rigid outer packaging.
- Completed Battery Mark (Figure 1).
- The number of cells in each package must not exceed the appropriate number for the equipment's operation plus two spare sets.

HAWAII (USA): Dangerous goods are prohibited to/from the Kalaupapa area of the island of Molokai however Section II lithium batteries bearing the Lithium Battery Mark without the CARGO AIRCRAFT ONLY label can be accepted to/from these locations.
