FedEx Office offers a complete line of services relating to copying and digital printing. Options include binding and finishing services that make it easy to create, produce and distribute presentations, brochures, manuals and other printed documents. FedEx Office is also the leading provider of signs, graphics and banners.
The purpose of this relationship is to give CWRU access to the programs that FedEx Office offers. Spend some time reviewing each section on this site to see how you can benefit from the FedEx Office Network.
Business card, letterhead, notepads and stationery items
Q: What is the cut off day and time for ordering stationery items?
A: All orders need to be submitted by Thursday at 1:00 p.m. to be ready for pickup or delivery the following week.
Q: Why is there a cutoff time now when the previous vendor did not specify one?
A: In order to improve quality, protect our brand and ensure accurate colors are on the items, we are now off-set printing all stationery items. In the past, items like business cards were being produced digitally. While digital printing is faster and more convenient, it does not provide the quality and accuracy the off-set process provides. Off-set printing with FedEx Office allows us greater brand integrity.
Q: How do I order business cards, letterhead and stationery items?
A: All items must be ordered through the online system, as this has replaced the Printing Services solution. Click on the Order CWRU Products button, choose the item, quantity and logo type you want and enter your information into the online form. An online proof will be generated for your review and once approved will be routed for production. You will not receive an additional hard copy proof. Payment is rendered by providing your speed type number at checkout.
Q: Can I save items so they can be reviewed later by someone else?
A: Yes. By adding the item to the shopping cart, it will be saved and can be viewed again as long as you are using the same computer that was used to place the item into the cart.
Q: Can I order CWRU logo items like business cards, letterhead, stationery and notepads elsewhere?
A: The FedEx Office ordering portal is the only approved method for ordering these branded items, as these items meet current brand standards established by the university.
Q: When I provide my variable information into the stationery templates, will the site automatically adjust the information to ensure the finished materials meet brand standards and are formatted correctly?
Q: What is the expected turnaround time for a business card, stationery, notepad or letterhead item?
A: Production occurs on a weekly basis. The order cutoff is 1:00 p.m. each Thursday. Typically, completed orders will be available for pick up at Thwing in 3-5 business days after the Thursday cut off. Requesting delivery may add additional time to the reciept of your order.
Example: A business card order is placed at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday. It moves to production at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday and should be available for pickup at Thwing by Wednesday or Thursday of the following week.
Q: How do I order specialty items that do not appear on the ordering portal?
A: We understand there may be templates that are not currently on the site. If you need a specialty item or require modifications, please call the campus FedEx Office store and the team will be happy to assist you with the order. If the item is something that will be needed on an ongoing basis, we may be able to add it to the site for your future orders.
Q: Can I reorder materials that have already been submitted?
A: Yes. All past orders are stored in the history section. However, all items ordered through the site by all end users are stored in the history, so you will need to use a very specific keyword or date to search for and find your order. It may be easier to simply recreate the order.
