Preparing your business for 2021
The Brexit Transition period has now ended and the United Kingdom and European Union have negotiated a Trade and Co‑operation Agreement which came into effect on January 1st, 2021. We are currently evaluating the details of the Agreement but there are additional requirements you should be aware of when shipping between the UK and EU.
This page contains more details on how your shipping processes have changed, and how to continue to trade across borders effectively in 2021 and beyond.
Our 2021 toolkit is being regularly updated and contains all you need to know to ship successfully following the implementation of the UK and EU Trade and Co-operation Agreement.

FedEx transportation rates post Brexit
FedEx is making incremental investments to adjust our systems, processes, resourcing, and customer facing solutions to ensure we are ready for the change on Jan 1, 2021. To reflect these investments and the incremental cost of clearing shipments, beginning Jan 1, 2021 we will be applying a surcharge of 9.50 BGN on all shipments moving from UK to EU, and EU to UK.
All other applicable surcharges related to moving shipments across borders will apply and will be based on the customer’s instructions to FedEx related to the clearance of the shipment.
