Successful integrations take time. That’s why we’re working in stages – each of which will bring different parts of FedEx Express and TNT together, and deliver improvements to your service.

Early stages of the integration will be visible in February 1st 2019 when we combine the FedEx Express and TNT operations in Bulgaria.

We are still working to optimize our local networks, improving collection and delivery times where possible. Once operations in Bulgaria are fully integrated, you will benefit from a single courier for all your shipments. There are no changes to the products and services offered by TNT and FedEx Express. Each stage of the integration journey will bring new improvements to the services we offer. We'll be excited to share new opportunities with you as soon as they become available.

For the time being, FedEx Express and TNT will continue to provide services as they do today in countries that are not integrating locally. Our integration has a phased approach with groups of countries going through integration at the same time. We will keep you updated as progress is made on integration in other regions. TNT customers shipping to or from an embargoed country under U.S. export regulations were notified in February 2016 that all services to or from such countries were discontinued with effect from April 4, 2016.

As the TNT and FedEx Express integration progresses, you’ll also start to see the FedEx Express and TNT logos side by side on your courier’s lanyard and in some of our communications, as well as on courier vans.

After reviewing the market requirements in Bulgaria, FedEx Express appointed TNT Bulgaria as its new service provider, effective February 1st 2019. TNT Bulgaria is one of the leading express service providers on the local market, as the local branch of TNT Express. TNT has been active on the Bulgarian market since 1995. The local network provides full coverage of the national territory. TNT Bulgaria has one international air and road gateway in Sofia, 5 offices all over the country, and operates with 115 vehicles. TNT and FedEx share the same focus and commitment to maintain the quality of service that customers need and expect.

As the FedEx Global Service Participant, TNT will provide customs clearance support for all FedEx Express inbound and outbound shipments to/from Bulgaria, so you will get the timely delivery you need and expect.
