Out of Delivery/Pick-up Area Surcharge

FedEx Express international shipments delivered to or picked up from remote and less-accessible locations are charged an out-of-delivery-area or out-of-pickup-area surcharge.

Effective January 18, 2021, certain international shipments to/from the U.S. will be assessed an out-of-delivery-area surcharge or an out-of-pickup-area surcharge for International Express Freight services based on the ZIP code location of the pick-up or delivery.

Additional Handling Surcharge

An Additional Handling Surcharge applies to any package that meets any of the following criteria:

Dimensions

A surcharge applies to a shipment containing any package that:

1) measures greater than 121 centimeters along its longest side;

2) measures greater than 76 centimeters along its second-longest side;

Effective January 18, 2021, Additional Handling Surcharge - Dimension will also apply to any package that measures greater than 266 centimeters in length and girth.

Package shape and dimensions may change during transit, which can affect the package’s surcharge eligibility. If the dimensions change during transit, FedEx may make appropriate adjustments to the shipment charges at any time.

Freight

A surcharge applies to a shipment containing any freight handling unit that measures greater than 157 centimeters along its longest side.

We reserve the right to assess additional handling charges for freight and any freight handling unit that requires special handling during transit.

 

Oversize Charge

Effective August 14, 2020, an oversize charge applies to a shipment containing packages that exceed 243 centimeters in length* or 330 centimeters in length* and girth (L+2W+2H).

Package shape and dimensions may change during transit, which can affect the package’s surcharge eligibility. If the dimensions change during transit, FedEx may make appropriate adjustments to the shipment charges at any time. 

* Length is the longest side of a package.

 

Paper Invoice Fee

Effective Mar 1, 2021, customers who choose to continue receiving paper invoices will be charged a HKD 30 Paper Invoice Fee per freight/duty invoice. This is in line with our company’s wide-ranging Go Green initiatives to protect the environment by reducing carbon footprint.

Manual Air Waybill Surcharge Adjustment (Effective January 4, 2021)

The surcharge for manual air waybills will be increased from HKD20 per air waybill to HKD40 per air waybill, with the minimum order quantity of 5 pieces, effective January 4, 2021.
