What features I can expect from FedEx Mobile?
FedEx Mobile App offers the following features:
- Track status of any package or freight shipment using FedEx® Tracking
- Quick rate and transit time quotes

Track the status of any package or freight shipment
FedEx Mobile recognizes tracking numbers for FedEx Express. All you need to do is enter the tracking number or scan the barcode on the shipping label, and we’ll provide you the latest information about your shipment. Also if you login using your fedex.com ID, your shipment created via FedEx Ship Manager at fedex.com will automatically be uploaded.
- Add shipments to a watch list
You can add shipments to your watch list at any time by simply tapping on the star icon. The star icon will turn yellow which denotes that the shipment has been added to the watch list. You can access all the shipments that have been added to the watch list by selecting the "Watch list" tab located at the top of the screen. To remove a shipment from the watch list, simply tap on the star icon again.
- Send tracking update notifications
You can send notification email updates about a tracked shipment.
- Nickname shipments
You can nickname your shipments by selecting the Nickname option at the detailed result screen. This will bring up a box to add a nickname to that particular shipment. After you nickname your shipment, the application will show the new name along with the tracking number. You can use the same nickname on multiple shipments. You will be able to easily identify and find this shipment by using the search feature.
- Add tracking numbers
You can manually add a tracking number by entering a new tracking number into the search field and then searching for it or scanning the barcode on the shipping label. Added shipments will be displayed on the Track summary screen.
- Remove shipments from the application
To remove a shipment from the application, simply tap the “Delete from the list” option at the detailed result screen.
- Follow a shipment using the shipment progression bar
The progression bar represents the movement of your shipment. The different bars are:
- Shipment initiation: FedEx received the shipment information from the sender.
- Pickup: FedEx has possession of the shipment.
- In transit: The shipment is in transit to its final destination.
- Delivered: The shipment has been delivered.
Quick rate and transit time quotes
By keying in basic information (origin, destination, weight, and package type), you can quickly obtain a rate and transit time quotation. If you login using your fedex.com ID, we’ll be able to provide you with your account-specific rates.
FedEx Mobile app now provides you with better support tools including the help icon and contact with a customer service representative to help you use the tool effectively and efficiently.

What devices does FedEx Mobile support?
The FedEx Mobile app supports iOS and Android.
- iOS: Requires iOS 8.0 or greater and is compatible with iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch. This app is optimized for iPhone 5. A data plan is required. Charges from the carrier may apply.
- Android: Is compatible with any Android-powered device supporting a 4.0 operating system or greater.
- fedex.com can also be accessed by web-enabled mobile devices.
What do I need in order to use the FedEx Mobile website?
Simply go to fedex.com. As long as your smartphone or tablet is enabled for mobile websites, you will be able to view and navigate the FedEx Mobile website.
Can I access FedEx Mobile internationally?
Yes. The FedEx Mobile website is available in 206 countries, territories and in 25 languages. For a listing of region-specific countries, go to the FedEx Global Home page.
How do I get the FedEx Mobile app?
Simply go to the App Store for iOS devices and Google Play for Android devices, and search for “FedEx Mobile” to download.
What can I get without logging in to FedEx Mobile?
Without logging in to FedEx Mobile you can track the status of FedEx Express packages and get a rate and transit time quote. Additional account-specific features are available by logging in such as account-specific rate and transit time quotes and the ability to create watch lists.
What do I get by logging in to FedEx Mobile?
Your shipment created via FedEx Ship Manager at fedex.com will automatically be uploaded, and you can get your account-specific rate quote.
What do I need to be able to log in to the FedEx Mobile website?
You need a fedex.com user ID and password that is authorized to ship with FedEx. If you already have a FedEx account, you can go to fedex.com and register for a fedex.com user ID. If you don’t have a FedEx account, go to fedex.com and register for a FedEx account.
The FedEx Mobile website won’t let me log in. What do I do?
In order to log in to the FedEx Mobile app, you need a fedex.com user ID and password that is authorized to ship or receive account-specific rates. If you already have a FedEx account, you can go to fedex.com and register for a fedex.com user ID. If you don’t have a FedEx account, go to fedex.com and register for a FedEx account.
What if I forgot my password or user ID?
If you forgot your password or user ID, go to fedex.com on your desktop computer and select “Forgot your password or ID?”
Should I be concerned about the security of my account information if I downloaded this application?
What does the four-segment bar near the top of each tracking frame represent?
The bar represents the progress of the movement of your shipment.
- First Segment — Shipment initiation: FedEx received the shipment information from the sender.
- Second Segment — Pickup: FedEx has possession of the shipment.
- Third Segment — In transit: The shipment is in transit to its final destination.
- Fourth Segment — Delivered: The shipment has been delivered.
What shipments can I monitor using the FedEx Mobile application?
You can track the status of any FedEx Express® shipment as long as you have a valid tracking number.
What number should I call for questions regarding my shipment status?
Tap the “Support” icon from the menu screen and select “Contact Us” and you can call customer service.
