When should I file my claim, and how do I submit it?
If your prepaid shipment or Collect on Delivery (C.O.D.) shipment experiences loss, damage*, or delay, please submit a claim within the following timelines:
- For loss, damage*, or delay: File your claim within 21 calendar days from the delivery date.
- For non‑delivery or misdelivery: File your claim within 9 months from the shipment date.
How to submit your claim
1. Visit our online Contact form.
- Select “Claim and Refunds
- Choose the appropriate topic under “File a new claim”
2. Complete all required fields and upload the necessary documentation, which may include:
- Photocopy of FedEx air waybill or FedEx Ship Manager® printout.
- All documentation related to the proof of value (e.g. copy of original invoice from vendor or supplier, copy of retail invoice or receipt, final confirmation screen if online order with proof of payment, itemized repair invoice or statement of non-repair, appraisals, expense statement, or any other applicable documentation).
- Serial number(s) of merchandise, if applicable.
- Inspection report, if applicable
All supporting documentation must be filed within 9 months after the package was tendered to FedEx.
*For damage claims, all the original shipping cartons, packing materials and contents must be made available for inspection and retained until the claim is concluded.
