In today's competitive market, small businesses must continually seek new ways to stand out and succeed. Imagine finding a way to do both that also positively impacts the environment. Discover how FedEx is leading the way and expanding its reach with sustainable practices that appeal to customers and are good for the planet.

Today, FedEx has the most extensive transportation network in the world, providing service to more than 220 countries and territories, and delivering  millions of packages a day. We continue to advance towards our goal with several key milestones to be achieved in the coming years. These build on our efforts to reduce aircraft and road vehicle emissions through fleet modernization and the use of cost-effective alternative fuels.

Building on our progress , we are evolving our strategic approach to focus on actions needed to not only achieve carbon neutrality in our own operations, but also to support the transition of the transportation and logistics industry as a whole. This includes collaborating with government agencies, academic institutions, and suppliers to support the commercial deployment of alternative fuel vehicles.

Creating a greener future, together

Our commitment to sustainability extends to helping our customers make informed choices about their own supply chains.

For example, our electronic trade documentation has removed the use of paper from the international customs clearance process. In addition to reducing paper waste, the electronic system also helps customers avoid customs delay in order to achieve timely delivery of international shipments1.

We are also empowering customers to make more informed shipping choices with FedEx Sustainability Insights (FSI)2.

For eligible shipments, FSI allows customers to:

  • Evaluate and manage their carbon impact

  • Review their FedEx shipping history to better understand shipping patterns and environmental impact

  • Create reports to provide transparency to customers and stakeholders

Anyone can take advantage of FSI, all you need is a FedEx user ID and account number. It is also a great way to start assessing your carbon footprint and join us in protecting the environment.
