How to access FiT?
If your shipment has missing information, FedEx will notify you. You will:
Receive a secure link via email from FedEx to access FiT. The link is valid for 5 business days.
Click the link and provide your missing or incomplete customs clearance information.
If you are unable to provide the required information to FiT after 5 business days, you’ll be contacted by customer service.

You can access the FedEx Import Tool (FiT) using the secure link sent to the email address associated with your shipment. You may also search for your shipment using your tracking number and check whether documents or information are required for upload. Once in FiT, you can review the request and upload the required documents or information online to help support customs clearance.
You can access the FedEx Import Tool (FiT) from a mobile phone, tablet, laptop, or desktop computer using a web browser. FiT is also available through the FedEx Mobile App.
On the FedEx Import Tool (FiT), you can:
- View shipment details and clearance status
- Upload missing or incomplete customs‑required documents or information
- Download a copy of clearance related documents for your records
If your shipment requires customs clearance information, you will receive an email from FedEx with a secure link to access FiT. The email will specify what action is needed and allow you to submit the required information online.
You can also enter your shipment number on the Tracking page. If any action is needed, the tracking status will indicate that additional information is required.
Your FiT access link expires after 5 business days. Once the link expires, you will no longer be able to submit information through the portal. If your details are still required for customs clearance, a FedEx agent will contact you directly. You can always check the status of your shipment on the FedEx Tracking page or contact Customer Support for more information.
No. You do not need a FedEx account to use the FedEx Import Tool (FiT).
All required documents and information must be submitted by the person who received the FiT email notification. Depending on the specific customs request, this could be the shipper, the recipient/consignee, or the importer of record.

You will receive a confirmation email as soon as your documents or required information have been successfully uploaded to the FedEx Import Tool (FiT).
