Printer-Friendly FedEx “Aces”

The FedEx Aces program, introduced in 2007, is designed to honor the very best of our truck driving champions. The initiative recognizes contractors and drivers who have maintained safe-driving records, won at least five state championships and participated in at least five national competitions.

The inaugural Aces class included 18 drivers and contractors. The following year, five more FedEx drivers earned the Aces distinction.:

  • Brad Mertz - FedEx Freight (Louisville, Kentucky)
  • Ron Pease - FedEx Freight (Salt Lake City, Utah)
  • Karen Tierney - FedEx Express (Franklin, Massachusetts)
  • Scott Watts - FedEx Express (Anchorage, Alaska)
  • Scott Woodrome - FedEx National LTL (Dayton, Ohio)

(Ron Pease, Brad Mertz, Scott Woodrome, Karen Tierney and Scott Watts)

Each Ace will receive a commemorative plaque to be displayed at the driver’s domicile facility as well as one to keep.

Congratulations to all of the FedEx Aces for their stellar commitment to safety!
