For the ninth time, Dan won an Oregon state title – this one in the 3-Axle class. He also earned the Grand Champion honor and posted the Best Pre-Trip Inspection score. The 2006 National Champion in the 3-Axle class and winner of the Vehicle Condition Award, Dan is a 22-year safe driver for FedEx Freight in Portland. With more than 750,000 accident-free miles under his belt, he has won numerous awards for safety. Dan and his wife Kathy, who live in Battle Ground, Wash., have four children: James, David, Deanna and Zack. In his spare time, Dan enjoys camping, hiking, gardening and building furniture.
