Additional shipping fees and other rate changes
Review the most current information about additional shipping fees, and other changes that can affect your shipping rates.
2025 FedEx rate changes
We regularly evaluate our shipping rates and fees and adjust them when needed. This enables us to keep investing in our business so we can continue delivering the shipping solutions you need and the excellent service you’ve come to expect from us.
Here are the details of recent changes to list rates and fees, along with information on other factors that might affect your shipping rates.
Effective Jan. 12, 2026
- FedEx Date Certain Home Delivery®, FedEx Evening Home Delivery®, and FedEx Appointment Home Delivery® surcharges will be applied per package rather than per shipment. See the FedEx Service Guide for more information.Â
- There will be changes to the assessment criteria for Additional Handling Surcharge — Dimension and Oversize Charge. This change will add a cubic volume criterion to Additional Handling Surcharge — Dimension, and both a cubic volume and a weight criterion to Oversize Charge, in addition to existing criteria.
Effective Jan. 5, 2026
- FedEx package rates will increase. Learn more.
- There will be changes to shipping surcharges and fees that may apply to your shipment and affect your total shipping rate.
Effective Sept. 22, 2025
- FedEx® International Connect Plus will be added to the list of services that are assessed a U.S. Inbound Processing Fee on U.S. import shipments in connection with the processing of those shipments for clearance. See the FedEx Service Guide for more information.Â
- FedEx will introduce two additional Clearance Entry Fee rate tiers for FedEx International Ground® Canada-to-U.S. shipments. The Clearance Entry Fee will be $9.75 for shipments with a customs value of $0 to $200, and $19.50 for shipments with a customs value between $200.01 and $800. Effective Aug. 18, 2025
- FedEx will use a new pricing structure for parcel pickups occurring in the U.S. and Canada. See the FedEx Service Guide for more information.
- FedEx will round every fraction of an inch/centimeter up to the next-higher inch/centimeter. See the FedEx Service Guide for more information.
- The U.S. Inbound Processing Fee will increase for U.S. import shipments in connection with the processing of those shipments for clearance. See the FedEx Service Guide for more information.
Effective July 14, 2025
- International package and express freight shipments that exceed the maximum allowed dimensions and weight will be charged the applicable Unauthorized Package Charge or Unauthorized Freight Charge. See the FedEx Service Guide for more information.Â
- The Additional Handling Surcharge, Oversize Charge, and Ground Unauthorized Package Charge will change. See the FedEx Service Guide for more information.Â
- The Additional Handling Surcharge weight threshold will decrease from 70 lbs. to 55 lbs. for international package shipments. See the FedEx Service Guide for more information.
- FedEx One Rate® pricing for FedEx Express Saver and FedEx 2Day services will change.Â
Effective June 9, 2025
- FedEx will adjust the fuel surcharges and update the tables for domestic package and express freight services, FedEx Ground®, FedEx Home Delivery®, FedEx International Ground®, FedEx international, and FedEx Freight services. See the fuel surcharge table effective June 9, 2025.
Effective June 2, 2025
- There will be changes to the Delivery Area Surcharge ZIP code lists for FedEx U.S. package services. Learn more.
Effective June 1, 2025
- FedEx will increase the Late Payment Fee from 8% to 9.9% of total past-due invoice balance. See the FedEx Service Guide for more information.
Effective May 19, 2025
- FedEx retail rates have been updated to include FedEx One Rate® pricing. View 2025 FedEx retail rates.
Effective May 2, 2025
- FedEx will adjust the Disbursement Fee and Duty and Tax Forwarding Fee. See the FedEx Service Guide for more information.
Demand surcharge information
As FedEx prepares for high demand during the holiday season, we are implementing certain demand surcharges and fees to continue providing our customers with the best possible service.

FedEx continues to make adjustments within our network to best deliver for our customers. Get details on the Demand Surcharge for U.S. international services here.
FedEx package and freight rates
- FedEx package standard list rates for U.S., U.S. export, and U.S. import services will increase an average of 5.9%.
- FedEx Ground® Economy, FedEx Ground Multiweight®, FedEx International Premium®, and FedEx International Priority DirectDistribution® rates will increase. Minimum rates for FedEx U.S. and international package services will also increase.
- FedEx Logistics U.S. and Canada base customs brokerage rates will increase by 4%. This increase does not apply to any ancillary fees for customs brokerage services.
FedEx Freight rates
- FedEx Freight rates will increase an average of 5.9%, applicable to the FXF PZONE, FXF EZONE, Offshore (includes FXF 300, FXF 303, FXF 352, and FXF 370 series), FXFC 1100 (Intra-Canada) rates, and Commodity rates (includes pallet, volume, or truckload).
- View FedEx Freight zone-based rate booklets:
- FXF 1000, FXF 501, FXFM DD (Mexico Door-to-Door) rates and FXFM IMS (Intra-Mexico Shipment) rates will increase an average of 6.9%.Â
- FedEx Freight box rates will not increase.

FedEx Freight zone-based rates are available for FedEx Freight® Priority and FedEx Freight® Economy services. Additional fees and surcharges may apply for fuel and other services.
To determine your FedEx Freight zone-based rate, you'll need:
1. A FedEx Freight zone locator to find the zone for your shipment.
2. FedEx Freight additional pickup and delivery charge ZIP code and postal code tier lists (if applicable):

- FXF PZONE rates (for FedEx Freight Priority)

Why are there seasonal demand surcharges during the holiday shipping season?
Each year as FedEx prepares for high demand during the holiday season, we adjust our networks to best deliver for our customers. Even during challenging market conditions, we remain committed to providing the best customer service possible. To support the changes to our networks, we will implement demand surcharges.
How can I get a current FedEx rate quote?
You can view standard list and retail rate tables by delivery service to see how much it costs to ship your package. You can also determine delivery zone by ZIP code or find out how to sign up your customers to access FedEx shipping rates directly from your website.

How do electronic shipping solutions support the rate change?
- FedEx package shipping rate changes will be available to all users of FedEx Ship Manager® at fedex.com and FedEx Web Services.
- FedEx package shipping rates will be downloaded to all versions of FedEx Ship Manager® and FedEx Ship Manager® Server on or after Jan. 5, 2026.
- FedEx Freight shipping rates will be available to specific versions of FedEx Ship Manager and FedEx Ship Manager Server.
To ensure your automation solution reflects the 2026 rate changes, you will need to be on the latest versions of software.
