Peak surcharges and fees for international services

Updated Sept. 30, 2021

We announced a surcharge on all FedEx Express® and TNT international parcel and freight shipments beginning April 6, 2020.

We implemented this surcharge due to the various COVID-19 containment restrictions issued in countries around the world. Those restrictions are disrupting the global supply chain. As a result, air cargo capacity is limited, and we are incurring incremental costs as we adjust our international networks to best deliver much-needed goods and services in this constrained environment.

This surcharge does not apply to domestic shipments.

For more information on the FedEx response to COVID-19, click here.

Beginning Oct. 4, 2021, the Peak Surcharge amount for some FedEx Express parcel and freight shipments will increase; specifically, parcel shipments originating in Taiwan, China destined to the U.S., Canada, Mexico, Puerto Rico, and Guam; freight shipments originating in Europe destined to the U.S. and Canada; parcel and freight shipments originating in India destined to the U.S., Canada, and LAC; and parcel and freight shipments originating in MEISA (excluding India) destined to the U.S. and Canada.
