Does FedEx have size or weight restrictions for shipments?

Yes. You can ship packages up to 150 lbs. (68 kg) with FedEx Express® and FedEx Ground® services. For specifics on calculating length, girth and dimensional weight, see our How to Pack guides.

Do you have any tips or requirements for shipping liquids?

To avoid possible damage to other shipments, position bottles upright that contain liquids. Use an inner seal and a perforated breakaway cap in combination with secondary inner packaging that can contain any leakage that may occur during transit.

Does FedEx offer packaging options for hard-to package items?

The FedEx Packaging Services lab has developed unique solutions for shipping everything from electronics to automotive parts and tires. Ask about our FedEx tie-on tag and tire/crate label for nonpackaged shipments. And when shipping a laptop computer, we recommend that you use a specially designed FedEx Laptop Box whenever possible. Could my shipment be classified as dangerous goods or hazardous materials?

In compliance with regulatory laws, and for the protection of our employees, FedEx restricts the shipment of certain commodities. If you have questions about whether your package may be classified as a restricted shipment, review the current FedEx Service Guide or contact the FedEx Dangerous Goods Hotline.
