Effective August 18, 2025
Regularly scheduled ground and express pickups will be charged a weekly service fee based on the number of selected pickup days. For details, please refer to the Additional Fees/Surcharges and Information section of the FedEx Rate Guide or contact your FedEx account executive.

Ways to schedule a FedEx pickup
You’ll need a FedEx account to schedule a pickup online.

Go straight to scheduling your pickup.
Already have a shipping label? Use the virtual assistant on the Customer Support page to schedule a pickup. If you’re scheduling a pickup with a return or pre‑printed label, please use the tracking number. If there are pickup restrictions associated with the shipping label, you might have to use your own account number to schedule and pay for the pickup.
Prefer not to open an account or wait for a pickup? Drop off your packages at a FedEx retail location at no extra charge.

On-call pickups
We’ll stop by only on the days you request a pickup
Great for ad-hoc shipments or small shipment volumes:
- Choose the day you’d like a FedEx courier to stop by
- Schedule your pickup while creating a shipping label—quick and effortless
- Use the FedEx app from the App Store or Google Play to request a pickup on the go
- Fees apply per stop for both same-day and future-day pickups
Automated pickups
We’ll stop by only on the days your FedEx automation system alerts us
Great for businesses with variable shipping volumes:
- When you create your first shipment of the day before your cutoff time, it automatically notifies us1
- We only come on the days you need us, reducing unnecessary trips
- FedEx automation must be used to prepare shipments2
- One-time enrolment and setup
- No need to manually request pickups
- Available for ground shipments only
- Your account number is required when enrolling

- A FedEx courier arrives on your pre-arranged days
- At least one package per scheduled pickup day required
- For shippers who consistently send out packages and want a reliable routine
- FedEx automation tools must be used to prepare shipments2
- One-time enrolment and setup
- Weekly service fee applies
- Use one account number per pickup location

Pick up or drop off at a FedEx location
You can pick up or drop off shipments at convenient locations across Canada.
- Pick up or drop off at any FedEx Ship Centre location.
- Pick up or drop off at participating FedEx Authorized ShipCentre® or FedEx OnSite locations, including Staples, Kent, and Super C stores.
- Drop off FedEx packages at our drop boxes 24/7.
Please note that packages must be ready by your local pickup cut-off time, which varies by location and service.
1 To initiate a pickup, create and transmit your first shipment of the day prior to your designated daily cutoff time, which you will receive at time of enrolment.
2 Automation solutions include FedEx Ship Manager™ at fedex.ca, FedEx Web Services, FedEx Ship Manager Software, and FedEx Ship Manager Server.
