Claude Russ is the enterprise vice president and interim chief financial officer for FedEx Corporation, where he is responsible for overseeing the corporation’s global financial functions including strategic financial planning, corporate development, investor relations, treasury, tax, internal audit, accounting, sourcing and procurement, and controls.

With more than 25 years of experience in multinational organizations, Russ brings a deep understanding of the business. Since joining FedEx in 2002, he has held a diverse range of leadership roles across the enterprise.

Most recently, Russ led the global financial planning & analysis organization, including all finance-related activities for the DRIVE Transformation, changing how FedEx operates by establishing the governance and accountability structure for FedEx to thrive.

His previous positions include chief operating officer of FedEx Dataworks where he focused on leveraging the powerful insights generated daily by the FedEx network to make supply chains smarter.  He also served as senior vice president of revenue management at FedEx Services, where he was responsible for global pricing, corporate strategy, market analysis, economics, and analytics. Additionally, he served as senior vice president of finance and chief financial officer for FedEx Freight from 2016 to 2018.

Russ is a six-time recipient of the FedEx Five Star award, the company’s highest team member honor. 

He earned his bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Mississippi. He and his wife, Meredith, live in Memphis with their four children.
