Kami Viswanathan is president of the Middle East, Indian Subcontinent, and Africa (MEISA) region at FedEx, leading the company’s business across more than 80 countries.
Viswanathan joined FedEx in February 2021 as vice president of Marketing for MEISA, where she was responsible for strategy and commercial growth across the region and led corporate innovation efforts out of India. She has played a key role in accelerating FedEx’s growth across MEISA, leading strategic commercial, customer and network initiatives that have strengthened the company’s presence across India, the United Arab Emirates, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and Africa, while expanding connectivity across key global trade corridors.
Viswanathan brings more than two decades of leadership experience spanning consulting, entrepreneurship and investing. Before joining FedEx, she was co-founder and co-CEO of Lumina Datamatics, helping build the company into a global provider of education content and technology solutions with more than 3,000 team members across operations in the United States, Europe, and India. She also founded work4.0 Capital, a cross-border investment firm focused on the future of work, and served on the Strategic Advisory Board of GSV Ventures. Earlier in her career, she was part of Arthur Andersen’s Business Advisory practice, advising multinational companies on joint ventures and market expansion in India.
As of July 2026, Viswanathan serves as vice chair of the U.S.-India Business Council (USIBC) Board of Directors. She is also a member of the Harvard Business School South Asia Advisory Board and a fellow of the Aspen Global Leadership Network.
She holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and earned a B.A., LL.B. (Hons.) from the National Law School of India, where she graduated as a gold medalist.
Kami was named to the Fortune India Most Powerful Women lists in 2025 and 2026 and the Forbes Middle East Most Powerful Businesswomen 2025 list. She was also recognized among the Top Five Middle East Leaders of Global Corporations on the Forbes Middle East Global Meets Local list in 2024 and 2025.
