Kawal Preet is executive vice president, Planning, Engineering, and Transformation at FedEx, where she leads a global, centralized planning and engineering function. She also oversees the DRIVE initiatives that are powering the company’s ongoing transformation, including the integration of the FedEx network – a key component of the transformation.

Before advancing into her current role, Preet served as regional president of the diverse Asia Pacific (APAC) region, and she led approximately 30,000 team members to new opportunities while navigating unprecedented circumstances associated with the pandemic and a fluid global operating environment.

Preet has created a high-performing culture across the many teams she has led throughout her 28-year career at FedEx. She began as an associate engineer in Singapore and then spent 17 years in Hong Kong, where she held various management roles in planning and engineering, as well as operations with Asia Pacific responsibilities. In 2006, she was promoted to managing director and in 2014, she stepped up as vice president of APAC planning and engineering.

In June 2020, Preet assumed leadership of the Asia Pacific, Middle East, and Africa (AMEA) region from Hong Kong, and in 2023 she moved to Singapore in the same role before shifting her focus exclusively to the Asia Pacific region.

Preet’s signature strengths include driving growth and unleashing business value. In 2025, Fortune named her among the most powerful women in Asia.

Preet also serves as a Non-Executive Director at Intertek Group PLC (FTSE 100) and has held board positions with the US-ASEAN Business Council and Junior Achievement (JA) Asia Pacific.

Originally from India, Preet holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology in India and received her MBA from Macquarie Graduate School of Management in Australia.
